APC Scribe Omisore has stepped down for Fuanter, and Kyari now acting Chairman of the ruling party.
As earlier reported that Newsonline Nigeria on Sunday night, the National Secretary of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Iyiola Omisore has just stepped down from office thereby toeing the path of the former National Chairman Abdullahi Adamu who resigned on Sunday evening.
This Nigeria News platform understands that Omisore’s exit paved the way for the Deputy National Secretary, Festus Fuanter (Plateau State), to immediately assume office as Acting National Secretary.
Meanwhile, Newsonline Nigeria reports that the Deputy National Chairman (North), Sen. Abubakar Kyari (Boro State) has also taken over as Acting Chairman to fill the vacuum created by Senator Adamu’s exit.
Our correspondent who monitored the events as the NWC prepares to begin the crucial meeting reports that Omisore actually came to the office but was asked to leave immediately. The reporter was however barred from taking pictures.
Newsonline Nigeria reports that Omisore’s resignation happened just as the National Working Committee (NWC) of the APC prepared to commence its critical meeting scheduled for 12 noon on Monday.
We had reported that Omisore would also resign his position as secretary following the alleged demand by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
