NewsOnline Nigeria reports that Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane has reportedly become the highest-paid footballer in Europe following the signing of a new contract with the Bundesliga champions.
According to the Daily Mail, the England captain has extended his stay at Bayern Munich until 2029.
The new deal reportedly increases Kane’s weekly wages to £400,000, believed to be the highest basic salary earned by a footballer in Europe.
The contract extension comes just days after Kane was named the 2026 Ballon d’Or winner.
The England international enjoyed an impressive campaign last season, scoring 73 goals in 65 appearances for club and country.
Since joining Bayern from Tottenham Hotspur in 2023 for £86 million, Kane has scored 156 goals in 161 appearances.
Before agreeing to the new terms, the striker had entered the final six months of his existing contract with the German champions.
