Zoho Campaigns has added WhatsApp Marketing and AI Agent Support.
NewsOnline Nigeria reports that Zoho has announced a major update to Zoho Campaigns, its multichannel marketing platform. The update adds a redesigned campaign experience, an enhanced email editor, native WhatsApp marketing and support for AI agent workflows.
The company said the changes are meant to help businesses simplify campaign management, improve marketing efficiency and give customers a more consistent experience across channels. Email, SMS and WhatsApp now sit in one connected workflow, with AI supporting campaign preparation, execution and performance analysis.
Kehinde Ogundare, Country Head of Zoho Nigeria, said marketing teams need tools that make it easier to connect with customers and see what is working across channels.

“The latest enhancements to Zoho Campaigns bring these capabilities together, helping businesses simplify their marketing processes while maintaining greater control over customer engagement,” he said. “As AI becomes more integrated into business operations, it is also important that organisations can use these technologies to support their teams and make more informed decisions.”
WhatsApp, email and SMS in one place
The native WhatsApp feature lets businesses run bulk campaigns using approved message templates, send trigger-based messages and add WhatsApp to automated workflows.
Email management has been simplified, with fewer setup steps, clearer recipient counts and improved A/B testing for subject lines, sender details and content. SMS gateway setup has also been simplified.
A new frequency-capping feature across all three channels lets businesses limit how often each contact is messaged, helping prevent excessive or duplicate messages.
AI agents through MCP
Zoho Campaigns now supports the Model Context Protocol (MCP), an open standard that lets compatible AI agents connect to supported application capabilities. With the right integrations and permissions, marketers can use natural-language instructions to coordinate campaign tasks.
Examples include preparing a seasonal campaign for an existing customer segment, sending a test and scheduling delivery. Marketers can also analyse past campaigns and adapt the successful ones, or find contacts who have not engaged recently and prepare re-engagement campaigns.
Zoho said marketers remain responsible for campaign decisions, with review and approval requirements set by their configured workflows and permissions.
AI-assisted content and segmentation
The Zia Content Analyzer, built into the template editor, checks spelling, grammar and style in real time, suggests changes to tone and clarity, and can draft subject lines, preheaders and body copy for email, SMS and WhatsApp.
A new Campaign Context feature lets teams apply a shared brief, covering brand voice, promotional details and audience information, across selected campaigns. Advanced segmentation supports layered criteria, engagement metrics and complex condition groups, with faster processing for large contact databases.
New editor and workspace
The rebuilt template editor includes brand themes for primary and secondary colours, a dedicated mobile editing view and dynamic content for personalising sections of an email by audience segment. Reusable content blocks, centralised styles and cleaner HTML output are also included.
The campaign workspace now offers custom list views, advanced filtering, contextual information, shareable views and native contact tagging.
Reporting and integrations
Businesses now get dedicated dashboards for email, SMS and WhatsApp, plus a unified contact dashboard. E-commerce integrations allow tracking of return on investment, revenue, orders and cart performance. Integration with Zoho Analytics syncs contact and campaign data, and the platform adds unified contact scoring and centralised UTM management.
Integration with Zoho CRM has been strengthened. It includes live synchronisation, the ability to import contacts from specific CRM custom views and campaign creation using CRM data without switching applications. Expanded webhook support allows campaign data to be shared with external applications.
Pricing and availability
The updated platform is available globally, and pricing is unchanged. Paid plans start at NGN 2,300 per month. SMS and WhatsApp capabilities carry no extra platform charge, though sending messages requires purchased credits. A free plan remains available for up to 500 contacts and 2,000 emails a month.
