WAEC has released 2026 First Series CB-WASSCE Results for Private Candidates, see how to check below.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the West African Examinations Council has officially released the results of the 2026 First Series Computer-Based West African Senior School Certificate Examination (CB-WASSCE) for private candidates.

In a statement shared on its official account on X on Friday, March 27, 2026, WAEC announced that candidates who participated in the computer-based examination would be able to access their results within 12 hours.

The examination body said the swift release of the results reflects its ongoing efforts to improve service delivery through technology-driven examination processes. WAEC also thanked stakeholders for their support in ensuring the successful conduct of the examination.

“The result of CB-WASSCE for Private Candidates, 2026 – First Series has been released. Candidates can access their results within the next 12 hours. Our thanks to all stakeholders for cooperating with us to achieve this feat,” the council stated.

The CB-WASSCE, which is conducted for private candidates, forms part of WAEC’s broader initiative to modernise examination systems and enhance candidates’ experience through computer-based testing.

How to Check 2026 CB-WASSCE Results

Candidates can check their results through the official WAEC result-checking portal by following these steps:

  1. Visit the WAEC Result Checker Portal.
  2. Enter your 10-digit Examination Number (7-digit centre number and 3-digit candidate number).
  3. Select 2026 as the examination year.
  4. Choose Private Candidate as the examination type.
  5. Enter the PIN and Serial Number found on your WAEC result checker card.
  6. Click Submit to view your result.

Alternative Method

Candidates in Nigeria can also check their results via SMS by sending the message in this format:

WAECExamNoPIN*ExamYear to 32327.

After checking their results, candidates can also access their digital certificates through the WAEC Digital Certificate Platform.
