OPay Is Okay

OPay has unveiled its new “OPay Is Okay” campaign, reaffirming its commitment to building trust, security and reliability in Nigeria’s fast-growing digital finance ecosystem as millions of Nigerians increasingly rely on fintech platforms for their everyday financial needs.

For tens of millions of Nigerians, digital financial services have transformed the way money is managed, making it easier to transfer funds, pay bills, save, and run businesses. However, as digital finance continues to expand, concerns around fraud, online scams and misinformation have made trust a critical factor in how consumers choose financial service providers.

Recognising this, OPay says trust has become the foundation of its operations, driven by secure technology, reliable services, continuous innovation and a customer-first approach.

Today, the fintech company serves tens of millions of customers across Nigeria, processing millions of successful transactions daily while supporting individuals, merchants and businesses through its nationwide network of agents and digital financial solutions.

According to OPay, every transaction represents more than the movement of money—it reflects customers’ confidence that their finances are safe and accessible whenever they need them.

This philosophy inspired the launch of the “OPay Is Okay” campaign, which the company describes as more than a marketing slogan but a reflection of the confidence millions of Nigerians have built through consistent user experiences.

Speaking on the campaign, OPay’s Chief Operating Officer and Chief Technology Officer, Dotun Adekunle, said trust remains the cornerstone of digital financial services.

“Trust is the foundation of every financial service. Technology or innovation alone is not enough. People need to know that their money is secure, their transactions are protected, and the platform they use will be there when they need it,” he said.

Adekunle noted that while misinformation and rumours often circulate about digital finance platforms, customers increasingly build confidence through transparent operations, secure transactions and consistent service delivery.

Also commenting, OPay’s Chief Commercial Officer, Elizabeth Wang, said the campaign reflects the strong relationship the company has developed with millions of customers, merchants and agents across Nigeria.

“OPay Is Okay is more than a campaign. It is a reflection of the relationship we have built with tens of millions of customers, merchants, and agents across Nigeria. Every successful transaction, every business we help grow, and every customer we support strengthens that relationship,” she said.

The company maintained that as Nigeria’s digital economy continues to grow, sustaining public trust will remain essential to achieving broader financial inclusion.

According to OPay, it remains committed to providing secure, simple, reliable and accessible financial services, stressing that trust is earned through every successful payment, every customer interaction and every promise fulfilled.

Established in 2018, OPay has grown into one of Nigeria’s leading fintech companies, offering money transfers, bill payments, airtime and data purchases, merchant payment solutions and card services. The company is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and its customers’ deposits are insured by the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC) under the same coverage applicable to commercial banks.
