Important update on JAMB UTME & NABTEB Exam Date clash has emerged.
Are you a Candidate for both the JAMB and NABTEB Examinations? Have you confirmed if the date of writing your JAMB collides with any of your NABTEB papers? JAMB, which is an acronym for Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, is a special body setup to take charge of entrance examinations taken by Nigerians (undergraduates) who seek admission into any of the Tertiary institutions in the country. While NABTEB stands for National Business and Technical Examinations Board, which is an examination body that has similar rights/authority as NECO and WAEC in the country to issue O’level result to technical students.
Since both examinations are taken on a yearly basis, it is being observed that the 2021 JAMB UTME will start on the 19th of June 2021. Likewise, the 2021 NABTEB examination will begin on the 15th of June 2021 to the 9th of July 2021.
From the scheduled dates, there is a possibility of a clash for those taken both exams, which has pulled the attention of the education minister.
Regarding the clash, the Hon. Minister of Education has requested for the submission of affected candidates’ information (details) by principals/proprietors to a designated email address, for rescheduling of their paper.
The required details to be sent by the schools are;
- Candidate’s Name
- School’s Name
- Location
- JAMB’s Exam Centre
- Initial Date Scheduled for JAMB UTME
The required information is expected to be sent down before the 16th of June 2021 to the Registrar Chief Executive Officer via [email protected]
