JAMB has registered 92, 490 Candidates in 2023 UTME.

 

NewsOnline reports that JAMB has disclosed that about 92, 490 candidates have been registered so far in the ongoing UTME/DE registration.

Out of the total number of candidates registered at this time, about 67,328 candidates had so far indicated interest to sit for its mock examination.

JAMB registers 92, 490 candidates, announces measures to enhance the sanctity of the exam

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that JAMB also announced that as part of measures to enhance the sanctity of the examination, it would not allow any examination to take place one hour after the scheduled commencement time.

The Board said the affected session should it be on grounds of technical challenge(s) from the Board would be rescheduled for other available sessions.

 

It added that the affected candidates would be required to wait at their centre to receive official communication from the Board’s National Headquarters, Abuja, as to when their lost session would be rescheduled.

 

The statement reads in part “Candidates would be notified of their new scheduled centre before they leave the examination centre. Furthermore, no candidate is allowed to spend less than one hour before submission during his/her examination.”

 

The board observed that late commencement of the examination or early departure from the examination hall could jeopardise the conduct of the exam by giving some candidates undue advantage over their contemporaries taking the examination.

 

The Board stated that the new advisories are to ensure a level playing field for all candidates taking the examination.
