I Didn't Say Wike Is Not The Father Of His Children- Ayu, PDP Nat Chair

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Sam Ohuabunwa, has called for the immediate resignation of the National Chairman of the party, Ayu Iyorchia, stating that the party is bleeding in the build-up to campaign for the 2023 election.

Newsonline reports that Sam Ohuabunwa argued whether Ayu promised to resign if the National Chairman if a Northerner wins the presidential candidate of the party or not what was important is that a Northerner cannot be the presidential candidate of PDP and another Northerner would be the National Chairman.

Ohuabunwa stated this on Tuesday while speaking on a National Television live programme.

Recall that Newsonline had reported that Chief Bode George, a former Board of Trustee (BOT) member of the opposition PDP has asked the national chairman, Ayu to resign in line with the promise he made should a Northerner win the PDP presidential candidate.

Ohuabunwa said, “I see him [Ayu] as a man of honour.

“If that is what he said, then he should follow the path of honour.

“Even if he didn’t say it, if he is the leader of the party who has brought us to this point, he should make the sacrifice. Do what needs to be done and make sure Nigerians are happy with PDP, members of PDP are happy.

“If he needs to step down for that to happen, he should do so. We need to unify the party.

“This party is bleeding right now.”
