Zoho has partnered with Babcock University to empower students with future-ready digital skills.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that global technology leader Zoho has partnered with Babcock University through the Babcock Centre for Executive Development (BCED) to equip students with hands-on digital and low-code application development skills under the Young Creators Program.

The three-day intensive workshop trained over 50 students across disciplines—including Computer Science, Business, and Information Technology—to build real-world, business-ready applications using Zoho Creator, the company’s low-code development platform.

Students learned how to apply cloud-based solutions to solve everyday business challenges, gaining valuable exposure to innovation-driven technologies without requiring advanced programming expertise. The initiative also highlighted how low-code tools can accelerate entrepreneurship and digital transformation.

“As part of our commitment to nurturing local talent in Nigeria, we are delighted to partner with Babcock University to equip students with future-ready digital skills,” said Kehinde Ogundare, Country Head, Zoho Nigeria. “Through the Young Creators Program, we aim to empower young innovators to create solutions that address real business needs while strengthening Nigeria’s growing tech ecosystem.”

This collaboration marks the beginning of a strategic partnership between Zoho and BCED, focused on continuous capacity building. Both organisations plan to expand their efforts through additional training programs, innovation workshops, and tech-focused events. Discussions are also ongoing to integrate Zoho’s business applications into Babcock’s entrepreneurship curriculum to ensure students gain practical digital experience.

“We are dedicated to preparing our students for leadership in the digital economy,” said Dr. Ayodeji Ajibade, Director of the Babcock Entrepreneurship Development Centre (BEDC). “Partnering with Zoho enhances our mission by exposing students to industry-standard tools and bridging the gap between academic learning and real-world application.”

The Young Creators Program, launched globally in 2022, is part of Zoho’s ongoing initiative to promote digital literacy and innovation among youth. To date, the program has trained over 2,000 students worldwide, inspiring the next generation of creators and entrepreneurs to thrive in a technology-driven world.
