Your Arrogance Too Extreme, Can't Stop Peter Obi - Ezeife Slams Gov Umahi

Former governor of Anambra State Chief Ezeife has slammed Governor Umahi stating that his arrogance is too extreme and can’t stop Peter Obi from becoming president.

Newsonline reports that Chukwuemeka Ezeife stated that it is becoming too bad that some politicians are fighting with their extreme arrogance the prayer Nigerians are praying for good governance.

Governor Dave Umahi had said on Monday, that Ebonyi citizens will not vote for Peter Obi in the coming general election.

Governor Umahi stated this while addressing political leaders, traditional rulers, Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, among other stakeholders of the state, during the swearing-in of five commissioners, the state head of service, HOS, in Abakaliki.

Umahi  Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Francis Nwaze, said the governor was only reiterating his earlier promise to support the APC presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu.

Ezeife, who is a member of Ime Obi Ohanaeze Ndigbo said such an arrogant statement by Umahi showed he is not working for the progress of the country and Ndigbo.

Ezeife said it was worrisome that an Igbo governor would be using propaganda against an Igbo candidate despite calls from all quarters that the presidency should come from the South-East.

“We are arrogant to the extreme. A change is coming to Nigeria and let nobody block it through arrogant propaganda.

“We need people who will think away from ethnicity. There is comprehensive corruption everywhere. Now we say we want Igbo president, but no delegate from other states voted for aspirants from the South-East because of money.”

Former governor Ezeife said fighting against good leadership that is coming to the country will bring the black race and Nigeria back from leading the world.

“We are fighting ourselves in Nigeria. God designed us to lead the blacks and we are about to begin that job.

“Now that change is coming, let us not be clannish about it. I think the time has come for melting. Let Nigeria take the advantage and let Yoruba and Igbo work together.”

Chief Ezeife who stated this on Arise Television, called on Nigerians to pray and work to ensure that Peter Obi presidency becomes a reality.

He said some people usually use bad mouths to work against God’s plan for a people.

“I, therefore, appeal to all Nigerians to pray because sometimes we spoil the good things God has planned for us with our bad mouth.
