Popular Country Music Legend Dolly Parton is dead.
NewsOnline Nigeria reports that American country music legend, singer-songwriter and actress Dolly Parton has died at the age of 80.
Her nephew and longtime head of security, Bryan Seaver, confirmed her death on Tuesday in a video published on Parton’s official social media accounts.

Parton was one of the most influential figures in American music, with a career spanning several decades across country music, film, television and philanthropy.
She recorded numerous global hits, including “Jolene,” “9 to 5,” “Coat of Many Colors” and “I Will Always Love You,” which was later popularised by Whitney Houston.
Seaver said Parton had requested that the phrase “I will always love you” be used as her final farewell to fans.
Her death marks the end of an era for country music and the global entertainment industry.
