ASUU has called off strike.
NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has finally called off over 10 months strike
This online news platform understands that the suspension of ASUU strike was just disclosed by ASUU President Biodun Ogunyemi at a world press conference in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital, on Wednesday, December 23, 2020.
The ASUU President said the Federal Government led by President Muhammadu Buhari, and all parties involved must work assiduously to keep to their part of numerous agreements reached before they agreed to call off the lingering strike.
ASUU confirmed this in a statement on the micro-blogging site, Twitter via its official Twitter handle, saying: “Academic Staff Union of Universities – and Nigeria [Federal Government] has finally agree on major issues that will lead to termination of its 10 month old strike.”
