Arise TV Town Hall: Tinubu Is Busy, Can’t Honour Media Invitations- Keyamo

APC Gives Peter Obi Conditions To Fulfill To Have Open Debate With Tinubu

The Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Bola Tinubu has said he was absent from the Arise TV Town Hall Meeting because of his busy schedule.

 

Newsonline reports that Tinubu assured all Nigerians that he would treat all persons and businesses fairly and equally if elected in 2023.

 

In a statement released by the APC presidential campaign council spokesman, Festus Keyamo, Tinubu said his schedule with not permit him honour invitations by media organizations.

 

“Firstly, many radio and TV networks in Nigeria have indicated interests to host such debates and out of deference to other TV and radio stations, our candidate will not be making selective appearances in some networks, whilst ignoring others. As President of Nigeria, by the Special Grace of God, he intends to treat all persons and businesses fairly and equally.

 

“Secondly, the busy and hectic campaign schedules of Asiwaju Tinubu will not permit him to honour all such invitations by different radio and TV networks, hence our decision for him not to start with one TV station and later ignore others,” the statement read.

Meanwhile, the former governor of Lagos State, will Monday (today) be in Minna, Niger State to interact with farmers.

 

Bayo Onanuga, APC Presidential Campaign Council, in a statement said Tinubu will in the engagement with Niger farmers listed to their challenges and explain how he will address the challenges if elected.

 

The statement read in part, “Tinubu is expected to share his agenda on how he plans to build on the salutary foundation laid by the President Muhammadu Buhari administration in agricultural sector.

 

“He will tell the farmers about how he will help them and their communities “in new and significant ways that usher in a true and complete rebirth of Nigerian agriculture.

 

“Among what the APC candidate promises, according to his Action Plan, are ramping up the cultivation of the nation’s arable land from 35 percent to 65 percent and the establishment of commodity board for strategic crops, such as cashew, cocoa, cassava, soya, rubber and groundnut.”
