The investigation, which spanned several months, involved meticulous scrutiny of CBN operations and related institutions. Mr. Obazee’s efforts culminated in the submission of a comprehensive final report, marking the conclusion of the assignment.

As of March 31, 2024, all equipment utilized during the investigation has been properly wrapped up, signaling the official closure of the inquiry. Law enforcement and regulatory agencies are now tasked with taking further action based on the findings presented.

President Tinubu’s acknowledgement of Mr Obazee’s contributions underscores the significance of the investigation and its role in maintaining transparency and accountability within financial institutions.

With the investigation now concluded, attention shifts to the potential implications of its findings and the subsequent steps to be taken by relevant authorities in ensuring compliance and integrity within the Nigerian financial sector.
