Lagos Lawmaker Foluke Osafile has defected from Labour Party to ADC.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that Mrs. Foluke Osafile, the Lagos State House of Assembly member representing Amuwo-Odofin Constituency I, has officially defected from the Labour Party (LP) to the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Confirming the move on Saturday, Osafile said, “Yes, it is true. I have defected to the ADC.” She explained that the decision was aimed at better serving her constituents and advancing their interests.

The lawmaker pledged to collaborate with ADC leadership to promote good governance and strengthen democratic institutions. “Together, we will ensure that the voices of ordinary Nigerians are heard and respected,” she added.

Osafile also reassured her constituents of her loyalty, emphasizing that their trust would continue to guide her work.

The 2023 election winner on the LP platform, Osafile’s victory was initially challenged by a tribunal but later reinstated by the Court of Appeal, ending the legal dispute. She is expected to formally announce her defection during a plenary session in the coming days.
