FirstBank Unveils FirstMonie Merchant Solution to Drive Digital Payments in Nigeria

FirstBank has unveiled FirstMonie Merchant Solution to drive digital payments in Nigeria.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that FirstBank of Nigeria Limited has launched the FirstMonie Merchant Solution, a new digital platform designed to make payment acceptance seamless for businesses and merchants across the country.

The solution comes with an automated onboarding process, an integrated referral system, and customizable features such as Pay with Transfer and Purchase. Other key offerings include instant settlement, concession management with flexible pricing, automatic terminal registration, and ready-to-use POS terminals. Merchants will also benefit from a centralized dashboard with real-time monitoring, dispute resolution, and complaint management.

According to FirstBank, the platform will significantly enhance liquidity, accuracy, and operational control while reducing chargebacks and improving transparency in daily transactions.

Speaking on the launch, Chuma Ezirim, Group Executive, E-Business and Retail Products at FirstBank, said:

“FirstMonie Merchant Solution is set to transform digital payments in Nigeria. With its advanced features and seamless onboarding, we are empowering businesses of all sizes and locations to thrive in the digital economy.”

He added that the initiative would improve efficiency within Nigeria’s payments industry by simplifying processes and ensuring merchants gain greater control and speed in their operations.
