City Boy Movement and Southwest Arewa Group have sealed mobilisation pact for second term bid.
NewsOnline Nigeria reports that a strategic political alliance has been formed to bolster the re-election bid of Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections, as the City Boy Movement and the Southwest Arewa Community Renewed Hope Agenda for Asiwaju 2027 agreed on a joint mobilisation effort.
The pact was sealed during a meeting held on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at the City Boy Movement Secretariat in Ogudu GRA, Kosofe Local Government Area of Lagos.

Speaking at the meeting, Director General of the Southwest Arewa Community Renewed Hope Agenda for Asiwaju 2027, Alhaji Shehu Usman Sampam, said the alliance was aimed at strengthening grassroots mobilisation across the Southwest in support of President Tinubu’s second-term ambition.
Sampam described the current administration as one driving economic and infrastructural transformation, adding that the group popularly known as SWAC 4 ABAT AGAIN 2027 is targeting over one million votes from the six Southwest states.
He noted that the collaboration with the City Boy Movement would further consolidate support among the Arewa community in Lagos and across the region, enhancing the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC)’s electoral chances.
In his response, Lagos State Director General of the City Boy Movement and Chairman of Kosofe Local Government, Moyosore Ogunlewe, expressed readiness to partner with the Arewa group, stressing the importance of coordinated strategy and sustained mobilisation.
Ogunlewe described the Arewa community as a reliable political bloc and assured that both groups would work together to secure victory for President Tinubu in 2027.
He urged the Southwest Arewa Community group to sustain its mobilisation efforts, noting that unity and grassroots engagement would be critical in delivering electoral success for the APC in the forthcoming elections.
