The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has clarified that he was born in 1952 as shown in his visa record.
NewsOnline reports that Tinubu said all his records are consistent contrary to speculations from critics about his age and record.
The former governor of Lagos State stated this while reading his speech at Chatham House lecture titled: ‘Nigeria’s 2023 elections: In conversation with Bola Ahmed Tinubu’.
Tinubu at Chatham House said: “At the time of birth, I was born march 29, 1952 in the family record.”

The ruling party presidential candidate maintained that he schooled at Chicago State University, adding that he worked at Deloitte.
“I’m not claiming another father, I am Tinubu and Tinubu proper. If they want a DNA, they can do that. Deloitte, Chicago State University where I graduated, has confirmed all confirmed,” Tinubu said.
“I’ve received certificates from them. Deloitte trained me, Mobil Oil has also attested to my record. I got to the pinnacle of my career. Who among them can brag about that?” He said.
The APC presidential candidate further said he knew that politics is muddy and was ready for all the controversies thrown at him.
He said, “You want to wrestle with the pig, you need to live with dirt, I got into politics knowing that it is a muddy water, one has to live with the dirt.
In an indirect reference to why he has consistently avoided live interviews with local media, Tinubu said:
“I see myself as a marketable individual. They want to use me to make money, and I say no.”
