Wabara-led BoT has appointed 13-member NWC amid PDP crisis.
NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the Board of Trustees of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), led by former Senate President Adolphus Wabara, has announced the appointment of a 13-member interim National Working Committee (NWC) to steer the affairs of the party.
Wabara disclosed this development on Monday, stating that the decision was taken in accordance with the provisions of the PDP constitution.

He explained that the move became necessary following a recent Supreme Court judgment which upheld the nullification of the party’s Ibadan National Convention, thereby creating what he described as a leadership vacuum within the PDP.
The decision was reached during a National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting convened by a faction of the party aligned with Tanimu Turaki.
The meeting was held at the Yar’Adua Centre, where party stakeholders deliberated on the leadership crisis and agreed on the need for an interim structure to stabilise the party.
The development signals a deepening internal crisis within the PDP as factions continue to push for control ahead of future political engagements.
