Protest has erupted at federal high court Abuja over detention of Blogger Justice Crack.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that tension flared at the Federal High Court in Abuja on Monday as youths staged a protest over the continued detention of blogger Justice Crack.

The situation escalated shortly after operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) attempted to escort the influencer out of the court premises following his arraignment.

In response, a group of protesters formed a human barricade around the security operatives, chanting “Free Justice Crack” and demanding his immediate release, which they described as unjust.

The demonstrators also called for the intervention of the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, insisting that peaceful protest is a constitutional right.

“We want to see the minister. Call the minister! Protest is a fundamental human right,” some of the protesters were heard shouting.

Others urged residents of Abuja to converge at the Ministry of Justice to intensify the demonstration, following reports that the blogger’s next court appearance has been fixed for May 26.

According to one protester, the adjournment means Justice Crack could remain in detention for several weeks.

Notable activists, including Omoyele Sowore and Peter Akah, were present at the scene, lending their voices to calls for the blogger’s release.

Security operatives maintained a heavy presence at the court complex as tensions remained high.
