NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the Nigerian Senate has appointed a 12-member committee to work jointly with the House of Representatives on the Electoral Act Amendment Bill.

Senate President Godswill Akpabio announced the composition of the committee on Tuesday during an emergency plenary session convened to deliberate on the proposed amendments to the Electoral Act.

Among the senators named to the committee are Senator Orji Uzor Kalu and Senator Tahir Mungono.
