Babachir Lawal has dumped ADC and declares support for Tinubu ahead of 2027 Presidential election.
NewsOnline Nigeria reports that Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Babachir Lawal, has resigned from the African Democratic Congress (ADC), citing the emergence of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar as the party’s presidential candidate.
Lawal disclosed that his decision to leave the party was informed by what he described as a flawed presidential primary process allegedly designed to favour Atiku.
Speaking on the development, the former SGF stated that President Bola Tinubu remains a better option than Atiku, insisting that he would not be part of what he called a “rigging machine” ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
