Wema Bank Unveils “Evolution of Love” Valentine Campaign, Rewards Singles, Couples and Newlyweds with Cash, Getaways

Wema Bank has unveiled “Evolution of Love” Valentine Campaign by rewarding singles, couples and newlyweds with cash and getaways.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that Wema Bank has launched its 2026 Valentine’s Day campaign tagged “Evolution of Love, powered by Wema Bank,” offering cash rewards, spa vouchers, vacations and a special celebrity performance for a couple getting married in February.

The campaign follows the launch of “ALAT: The Evolution,” the upgraded version of the bank’s digital platform, ALAT, and is designed to celebrate the different forms of love experienced by customers over time from self-love and friendship to romantic and family love.

According to the bank, the campaign expands the traditional Valentine’s narrative beyond romantic relationships, creating space for singles, friends, married couples and intending couples to participate and be rewarded.

Under the initiative, new and existing Wema Bank customers are grouped into four categories: singles (self-love), friends (friendship), married couples, and couples getting married in February 2026. Participants are required to create a “Love Goal” on the ALAT App and share a one-minute video on social media, explaining how their love journey has evolved.

Rewards vary by category and include cash prizes, spa experiences, vacations, expense-paid getaways, and for one couple tying the knot in February, a surprise celebrity performance at their wedding.

Speaking on the campaign, Wema Bank’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Moruf Oseni, said love remains central to the bank’s customer-centric philosophy.

“Love is at the heart of true customer-centric service. This campaign reflects the thought, intentionality and commitment we put into everything we do at Wema Bank. This year, we are celebrating love in its many forms: friendship, marriage, family and even self-love because these reflect the realities of our customers,” Oseni said.

He added that the bank’s goal is to ensure every customer feels appreciated this Valentine’s season and beyond, noting that the campaign is designed to strengthen bonds, promote self-love and create memorable moments for couples.

To participate, customers are required to activate SAW, the Voice Banking virtual assistant on the upgraded ALAT App, create and fund a personal or group “Love Goal,” and transact with their ALAT or Wema Bank card between February 1 and February 10. Entries must be posted on social media using #ALATEvolutionofLove while tagging @alat_ng and @wemabank.
