President Buhari, on Tuesday, received an award for “strengthening peace in Africa”.
NewsOnline reports that President Muhammadu Buhari, on Tuesday, received an award from the Abu Dhabi Peace Forum for his role in “strengthening peace in Africa”.
The award was presented to Buhari at an event held in Mauritania.
Recall that Buhari departed the shores of Nigeria for Nouakchott, Islamic Republic of Mauritania, on Monday, January 16, for the peace award.
The Special Adviser to the President on media and publicity, Femi Adesina, made this available in a statement to newsmen earlier.

Adesina said the award would be conferred on Buhari for his leadership role in promoting peace on the African continent, through regular inventions, counsels, and conciliatory positions.
Present at the award event were Mohamed Ghazouani, president of Mauritania; Abdallah Bin Bayyah, president of the Forum for Promoting Peace in Muslim Societies; and Al Mahfoudh Bin Bayyah, secretary-general of the Abu Dhabi Forum for Promoting Peace.
