Major General John Enenche, former Defence Spokesperson for the Nigerian Military has said that the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, within a space of three months and two weeks he became governor of Anambra State solved insecurity in the state.
Newsonline reports that General Enenche (Rtd) said within two weeks of Peter Obi governorship in Anambra State, security was restored in all-flash points and within three months all areas in the state were secured.
Major General Enenche stated this on Friday while ex-raying the capacity of the Labour Party presidential candidate in tackling insecurity which has destroyed the nation under President Muhammadu Buhari administration.
Enenche said his trust in the former governor of Anambra State, made him campaign for his presidency.
Enenche said at the time Peter Obi became governor of Anambra in 2003, he was the first Commandant of the Internal Security Operations in the state.
He added that within two weeks, with the political will, logistical and strategic support of Obi, the combined security team using non-kinetic and kinetic measures restored security in all flash-points; at the interval of three months, insecurity was reduced in the state.

In a 50 minutes video on his Twitter handle, General Enenche said, “I earlier gave an open advisory to Nigerians and equally made a clarion call and thereafter launched operation local media regarding Obi-Datti ticket.
“As a follow-up, I would like to briefly testify about my encounter with HE Peter Obi. I was the first Commander of the Internal Security Operations in Anambra State when he assumed office as the Executive Governor in March 2006. The operation was a collective effort of the Nigerian Military and Police.”
He continued, “HE Peter Obi provided the political direction, strategic guidance and the general support for the restoring security to the entire state within a record period of about two weeks for the flashpoints, and about three months, for the entire area of our operative responsibility.
“He exhibited total political will and unflinching commitment towards securing Anambra State. All needed non-kinetic and kinetic measures were employed with his personal involvement o tackle insecurity in the state, and he was directly in charge.”
General Enenche added that what amazed him was that after he left for Liberia on a United Nations mission he came back to meet the state very secure as it was when he left for the UN mission.
“Thereafter, I proceeded to Liberia in October 2006 for UNMIL. Interestingly, on returning to location after our rotation back to Nigeria in April 2007, the conducive situation still persisted in Anambra state,” he said.
He further pleaded with Nigerians to vote for the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi to help solve the insecurity ravaging the country.
“My dear Nigerians, from this precedence, it can be deduced that; given the opportunity, a similar feat can be achieved by HE Mr Peter Obi and Dr Yusuf Datti-Ahmed for our dear country,” Enenche added.
