OnePipe has tackled missed bill payments with new utility scheduling feature on PaywithAccount.

In response to growing consumer frustration over missed utility payments and financial stress, NewsOnline Nigeria reports that OnePipe has launched a new utility payment scheduling feature on its PaywithAccount platform.

The innovation enables Nigerians to automate recurring payments for essential services like electricity, airtime, and mobile data directly from their bank accounts.

The move follows a recent EFInA survey revealing that nearly 50% of Nigerian adults missed at least one key payment in the past year, often resulting in service disruptions, late penalties, and increased anxiety. With this new solution, users can now schedule payments effortlessly through paywithaccount.com, ensuring timely and consistent transactions.

According to a Nairametrics report, many Nigerians still rely on manual reminders for monthly bills a method that frequently leads to missed deadlines. OnePipe’s solution aims to change that by offering automation, reliability, and peace of mind.

Akin Olunloye, Product Manager at PaywithAccount, explained the motivation behind the launch:

“Managing monthly payments has become a real source of stress for many Nigerians. This scheduling feature is our response to that — helping consumers stay in control by automating what matters most.”

Early users have praised the innovation for its convenience and dependability.
Chinyere, a Lagos-based lawyer, said,

“Automating electricity payments with PaywithAccount has completely removed the hassle. I now receive instant receipts and WhatsApp notifications — it’s been a game-changer.”

Another tester, Sodiq, a digital marketer, added,

“I handle payments for both personal and business needs. With automation, I don’t worry about service disruptions anymore, even when I’m busy or traveling.”

The PaywithAccount scheduling feature currently supports major electricity distribution companies; Eko, Ikeja, Abuja, and Ibadan as well as MTN, Airtel, Glo, and 9Mobile. OnePipe also confirmed that cooperative dues, insurance premiums, and other payment types will soon be added.

By integrating automation into everyday payments, OnePipe continues its mission to simplify financial life for Nigerians, promoting convenience, reliability, and inclusion in the growing digital economy.
