NAF Begins 2025 Airmen and Airwomen Recruitment, Opens Portal for BMTC 46/2025 Applications

NAF has begun 2025 Airmen and Airwomen Recruitment and opened portal for BMTC 46/2025 applications.

 

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has officially commenced online registration for its Basic Military Training Course (BMTC) 46/2025, inviting eligible Nigerians to apply for enlistment as Airmen and Airwomen.

In a statement signed by Air Vice Marshal A.H. Bakari, on behalf of the Chief of the Air Staff, NAF announced that the application process is completely free and will run from October 14 to November 25, 2025.

Interested candidates are to submit their applications via the official recruitment portal: www.nafrecruitment.airforce.mil.ng.

Application Guidelines

NAF urged applicants to carefully read all instructions on the portal before completing their online forms. Upon submission, candidates must print the following documents:

  • Acknowledgment Form

  • Parent/Guardian Consent Form

  • Local Government Area Attestation Form

The attestation form must be signed by any of the following:

  • A Military Officer (not below the rank of Wing Commander)

  • A Police Officer (not below the rank of Chief Superintendent)

  • A Local Government Chairman or Secretary

  • A Magistrate from the applicant’s state of origin

Each form must also include the signee’s passport photograph and a valid identification card (National ID, Driver’s Licence, or International Passport). NAF warned that forms will not be generated for invalid applicants and stressed that all information must be accurate.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must be Nigerian citizens and meet all medical, physical, and psychological fitness standards.

  • Height Requirements:

    • Males: Minimum of 1.66m

    • Females: Minimum of 1.63m

For Non-Tradesmen/Women:

  • Must be between 18 and 22 years old.

  • Must possess five credits, including English and Mathematics, in not more than two sittings in WAEC, NECO, GCE, NABTEB, or NBAIS.

  • Must present a secondary school testimonial.

For Tradesmen/Women:

  • Must be between 18 and 27 years old.

  • Must hold a National Diploma (ND) or NCE with at least a lower credit and five credits in relevant subjects.

  • Must possess a Trade Test Certificate and valid driver’s licence (for driving roles).

For Sportsmen and Sportswomen:

  • Must provide proof of professional experience, such as certificates or medals.

NAF emphasized that applicants with any criminal record will be automatically disqualified.

Screening and Further Information

The Zonal General Aptitude Test date will be announced later on the recruitment portal. Only candidates who pass the test will be invited for the final selection interview.
