This online newspaper learnt that the leakage is from a pipeline that supplies gas to the industries in the Ikeja industrial area.

The police from Area B Command, Ikeja, has cordoned off the area ahead of the arrival of responders.

The South-West Region Coordinator of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Ibrahim Farinloye, in a WhatsApp message, advised people to try as much as possible to avoid the area.

He said: “Residents around Computer Village/Underbridge, Awolowo Way and Oba Akran axis, Onifowose Street, Medical Road must not open shops or use open naked fire for safety reasons.
