Anambra Governorship Election

Details of how Soludo won Anambra Governorship Election in 21 LGAs has emerged.

NewsOnline Nigeria had earlier reported that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Sunday officially declared Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) winner of the November 8, 2025 Anambra State governorship election.

Soludo, the incumbent governor and a 65-year-old professor, secured an emphatic victory after polling 422,664 votes, defeating his closest rival, Nicholas Ukachukwu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who garnered 99,445 votes.

According to the electoral commission, Soludo won across all 21 local government areas (LGAs) of the state, reaffirming APGA’s political dominance in Anambra.
