FirstBank Hosts 2025 Agric & Export Conference to Drive Non-Oil Export Growth

FirstBank is set to host 2025 Agric & Export Conference to drive non-oil export growth.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that FirstBank, West Africa’s leading financial institution and a pioneer in financial inclusion, has announced the 2025 edition of its Agric and Export Conference, themed “The Fundamentals of Building a Non-Oil Export Driven Economy”.

The event will be held on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at the Eko Convention Centre, Lagos.

Building on the success of previous editions, this year’s conference underscores FirstBank’s commitment to advancing Nigeria’s agricultural and non-oil export sectors as key pillars of economic diversification. The hybrid event will welcome key stakeholders physically, while allowing broader participation online. Attendees can also explore exhibitions from leading organizations and associations in the industry.

The programme will feature a keynote speech from Senator Abubakar Kyari, Honourable Minister of Agriculture & Food Security, alongside goodwill messages, plenary discussions, and technical sessions led by experts in agriculture and export value chains.

Other distinguished speakers include Mr. Jafar Abubakar Umar (MD, Bank of Agriculture), Mr. Abba Bello (MD/CEO, NEXIM Bank), Mr. Segun Awolowo (National Action Committee on AfCFTA), Architect Kabir Ibrahim (President, All Farmers Association of Nigeria), and Mrs. Nonye Ayeni (CEO, NEPC).

According to Olusegun Alebiosu, Managing Director, FirstBank Group:

“The Agric and Export Conference is a strategic platform for stakeholders to exchange ideas and craft strategies to unlock the full potential of Nigeria’s agriculture and non-oil exports. Through it, we aim to empower customers with actionable insights, innovative solutions, and valuable networks to enhance competitiveness in the global market.”
