2025 WASSCE Results

WAEC has uploaded the updated 2025 WASSCE Results via portal.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the Federal Ministry of Education has confirmed that the updated 2025 WASSCE results have been successfully uploaded to the official WAEC result checker portal and will be accessible to all candidates within the next 24 hours.

The update comes after the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) resolved a technical glitch that affected the initial release of some results.

In a statement on Thursday, Boriowo Folasade, Director of Press and Public Relations at the Ministry, revealed that the disruption was linked to a post-processing error following WAEC’s new paper serialization method—introduced to boost exam security.

“WAEC acted swiftly and transparently to resolve the issue. We commend their professionalism and the patience of candidates,” the Ministry stated.

The glitch had caused result delays for some candidates, especially in subjects where new security protocols were applied. After briefing the Minister of Education, Dr. Maruf Olatunji Alausa, WAEC promptly implemented a fix.

The Ministry also reaffirmed its commitment to exam integrity, transparency, and fairness, assuring candidates that the updated results now reflect accurate assessments.

In a related development, the Ministry announced that Computer-Based Testing (CBT) will be gradually introduced for national examinations, including WASSCE and NECO starting November 2026, beginning with objective papers.

“This shift to CBT will reduce exam malpractice, prevent question leakages, and restore trust in the system,” the statement noted.

Dr. Alausa emphasized that maintaining the credibility of Nigeria’s examinations is a national priority:

“Assessment standards must remain high. Protecting the integrity of our exams protects the future of Nigerian students,” he said.

Candidates are advised to check their results via the WAEC result portal and report any further discrepancies to the appropriate WAEC offices.
