Super Falcons have landed in Abuja.
NewsOnline Nigeria reports that Nigeria’s Super Falcons received a hero’s welcome on Monday as they arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, following their triumphant victory at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) held in Morocco.
Touching down at approximately 2:26 p.m. aboard a chartered flight, the team was greeted by a cheering crowd. Team captain Rasheedat Ajibade emerged from the aircraft holding the WAFCON trophy aloft, drawing loud applause and celebration from waiting fans and officials.

The Super Falcons clinched the continental title after a thrilling final against hosts Morocco, defeating the Atlas Lionesses in a pulsating match to secure the coveted trophy.
Since their stunning win, the team has been showered with praise and commendations from Nigerians at home and abroad.
To celebrate their achievement, the players and coaching crew are scheduled to embark on a victory parade through major parts of Abuja. The parade will feature an open-roof bus driving through Airport Road, Berger Junction, Maitama, and Wuse Market before culminating at the Presidential Villa, where President Bola Tinubu will formally host the champions.
