Senate is set to unveil Tinubu’s Ministerial Nominees.

Newsonline Nigeria reports that the Nigerian Senate has announced its readiness to unveil President Bola Tinubu’s list of ministerial nominees.

This Nigeria News platform gathered that Senate President Godswill Akpabio will read the letter containing Tinubu’s nominees for ministerial positions on Wednesday.

A reliable source close to the Senate leadership made the disclosure to Newsonline Nigeriaon Tuesday.

The source further revealed that the list has already been submitted to the Clerk of the National Assembly, Magaji Tambawal, for onward delivery to the Senate President

The message read:

“The Senate President, Sen. Godswill Akpabio, will read H.E. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Ministerial Nominee list on the floor of the Senate on Wednesday, July 19th, 2023.”

The Chairman, Senate Committee on Media and Public Affairs, Senator Yemi Adaramodu (APC – Ekiti South), initially denied knowledge of the list.

However, it was confirmed that President Tinubu sent the list following the provisions of the constitution.

A recent amendment to the 1999 Constitution mandates that President Tinubu and governors must submit the names of ministerial or commissioner nominees within 60 days of assuming office.

After the submission, the nominees will then be subject to confirmation by the Senate or state Houses of Assembly.
