President Trump has expressed fresh outrage over Christian Genocide in Nigeria.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the United States President Donald Trump has once again voiced strong anger over what he describes as the ongoing “genocide” against Christians in Nigeria.

Speaking on a conservative radio programme on Friday in a conversation later highlighted by Fox News, Trump reiterated his claim that thousands of Christians are being killed across the country and accused the Nigerian government of failing to protect vulnerable communities from extremist attacks.

This latest outburst comes days after the U.S. redesignated Nigeria as a Country of Particular Concern (CPC) over alleged religious persecution. Trump had previously threatened military intervention if Nigerian authorities do not curb the rising wave of violence.

“Nigeria is a disgrace. The whole thing is a disgrace,” Trump said during the interview.
“They’re killing people by the thousands. It’s a genocide, and I’m really angry about it.”

He also hinted at a new round of punitive measures, including cutting off U.S. aid to Nigeria.

“We give a lot of subsidies to Nigeria. We’re going to end up stopping,” he declared.

Trump again warned that he may authorise U.S. military action against Islamist militants in Nigeria if the government “does not do more” to halt attacks on Christian communities.

The comments have further intensified the diplomatic tension between both countries, with Nigeria maintaining that it protects citizens of all faiths and does not tolerate targeted killings.
