Iran has ruled out negotiations with U.S. amid Middle East conflict escalation.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that Mohammad Mokhber, a top aide to the late Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has stated that Iran has no intention of entering negotiations with the United States, signaling a continued commitment to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

Speaking on Wednesday during an interview with State TV, Mokhber emphasized that Iran has no trust in the U.S. and believes there is no foundation for any talks.

“We will not go into any negotiation with the US. The Americans cannot be trusted. We can continue the war as long as we want,” he said.

State Funeral for Khamenei

Iran has announced a three-day state funeral for Khamenei, who was killed in US-Israeli strikes. According to Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), the faithful will be able to pay their final respects starting at 10:00 pm local time (1830 GMT) at the Imam Khomeini Grand Mosque in Tehran.

Khamenei, who was 86 years old at the time of his death, is expected to be buried in his hometown of Mashhad in northeastern Iran.

Mokhber’s remarks highlight Iran’s hardened stance following the death of its supreme leader, with the government signaling readiness to continue its military actions in the region.
