Finance Minister Wale Edun has reportedly collapsed after seeing failed coup “Kill List” Linked to plot against Tinubu.

Reports from Sahara Reporters have alleged that Nigeria’s Minister of Finance, Wale Edun, collapsed after being shown a purported “kill list” allegedly tied to a suspected coup plot targeting President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

According to a senior government source quoted by the outlet, Edun “collapsed upon being shown a kill list allegedly prepared by some military officers plotting a violent overthrow of President Tinubu’s government.”

Following the incident, Edun was reportedly flown to London for urgent medical care. Despite initial government denials, the minister was later spotted in London “walking unsteadily to an art show,” a source said — an appearance interpreted as an attempt to quell speculation about his health and safety.

Two weeks ago, Edun himself confirmed that he was in the United Kingdom receiving treatment, contradicting earlier official statements. Sources close to him reportedly described his condition as “very serious.”

Meanwhile, Sahara Reporters also revealed that several military officers were arrested by intelligence operatives over the alleged coup plot, which was reportedly planned to coincide with Nigeria’s October 1 Independence Day celebrations.

Although the military publicly claimed the arrests were related to “failure in promotion examinations and career stagnation,” multiple security insiders insisted the detentions were linked to an attempted power grab.

The arrests were said to have been conducted through coordinated operations involving the Army, Navy, and Air Force, following weeks of surveillance.

The shocking allegations have intensified fears within government and military circles over loyalty in the armed forces, internal instability, and potential power struggles.

As of press time, no official statement has been issued by the Presidency, the Ministry of Finance, or the Defence Headquarters regarding Edun’s reported collapse or the alleged coup plot.
