Atiku Abubakar has declared 2027 Presidential Ambition, says Nigeria must be rescued.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has declared that he will contest Nigeria’s presidency in the 2027 general election.

Atiku, speaking through his former campaign spokesperson, Tunde Olusunle, dismissed reports suggesting he might opt out of the race, stressing that the country must be “decisively rescued from the intensive care unit it has been consigned under the Tinubu administration.”

The ex-PDP chieftain, now leading a coalition under the African Democratic Congress (ADC), accused the ruling APC of attempting to undermine the growing momentum within the opposition. He vowed that the ADC would “shock the world” in 2027 and unseat the status quo.

Condemning what he described as “mega-scale thievery, deceit and lack of accountability” in the current government, Atiku maintained that his ambition is about building a better Nigeria, not personal power.

“I will run in 2027. Nigeria must be rescued from poverty, pain and anguish,” Atiku declared.
