APC has threatened and warned Peter Obi to stop commenting on Tinubu’s Government affairs.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Felix Morka, has accused former presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, of misleading Nigerians with his criticism of the current administration.

This Nigeria news platform understands that Morka said contrary to Obi’s submissions at his New Year press conference, the economy has been rebounding in all sectors.

In an interview on Saturday, with Arise TV to discuss the statement of his party that the LP chieftain was a prophet of doom, Morka said he was intentionally misleading the citizens with his totally wrong information.

He stressed that President Bola Tinubu made radical policy decisions because things were wrong with the country. He argued that what was most important was that the policies birthed positive outcomes.

“A whole lot of what Mr. Obi said in his press conference was wrong, totally wrong and intentionally misleading, trying to get Nigerians believe what is not. Whatever sector you may wish to look at the country is rebounding in significant measure.

“Yes, things were rough at the begining but the roughness didn’t start with this administration. As a matter of fact, the reforms Mr. Obi was speaking to was initiated to correct and radically reposition Nigeria for prosperity. When this government came in things were not just right. The President took a hard look at things and decided to initiate very bold policies to radically transform our economic lives. Now 18 months later we are seeing the results of that.

“We should not be looking at whether those decisions were right or wrong. We should be looking at the obvious emerging impacts, outcomes of these policies and they are all pointing in the positive direction. So when Mr Obi says that everything is worse today than it was yesterday, I disagree and I think many Nigerians will disagree with Mr. Obi. Because that is not an accurate assessment,” he said.

Peter Obi Is Irrational

The National Publicity Secretary of the APC maintained that the former governor of Anambra State lacked the right to criticize President Tinubu’s policies.

He claimed that Peter Obidid not transform Anambra as governor. He added that he was nursing the loss he recorded in 2023 presidential election.

Morka warned Peter Obi to apply restraints in his comments. He further told him to manage his presidential loss.

“Mr. Obi is shooting from the hip. He is not looking. He is not taking an aim. He just shoots widely like what we used to see in movies back in the day in the wild, wild West. He is not being rational. He is absolutely irrational in his thinking and in his public commentary, for a man who was governor for eight years, who left nothing, nothing to remember in Anambra State by way of a legacy or transformation.

“He served as governor for eight years. He didn’t have the wisdom or the smarts to change Anambra State, to make Anambra the beacon, that example of governance in the country. But then, he ran for president, in 2023 and he didn’t win.

“He is sulking rather than actually get a perspective and figure out what he did to lose; so he can do better in the future. He would think that he can bring down the government by simply being maliciously deceptive. That is wrong. You know, I’m not somebody to go on that offensive in that manner. But Mr. Obi has crossed the line so many times. And I think that at this point, whatever he gets, he needs to manage it,” Morka stated.
