APC has officially registered Governor Fubara as Party Member in Rivers State.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State has formally enrolled Governor Siminalayi Fubara into its fold, days after he publicly declared his intention to join the ruling party.

A photograph shared by Tony Okocha, media aide to the state APC chairman, shows Governor Fubara placing his thumbprint in what is believed to be the party’s official register. The registration exercise was conducted on Friday at the Government House in Port Harcourt.

Fubara had announced his move to the APC on Tuesday, stating that his decision to leave the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was made in the best interest of Rivers people. He also described his defection as a gesture of gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, whom he credited for ensuring he remained in office despite the intense political crisis in the state.

With his formal registration completed, Governor Fubara is now officially a member of the APC in Rivers State.
