Anglican Methodist Modern/Secondary School Ajagba  is set to celebrate 70th Founder’s Day Anniversary in Oyo.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that Anglican Methodist Modern/Secondary School, Ajagba, Oyo State, has announced plans to celebrate its 70th Founder’s Day Anniversary, marking seven decades of academic excellence, moral upbringing and institutional legacy.

The milestone celebration is scheduled to hold over one week, from Monday, March 30 to Saturday, April 4, 2026, and is expected to bring together alumni, current and former staff, students, stakeholders and friends of the school from across Nigeria and beyond.

According to the organisers, the anniversary activities will feature a series of commemorative, educational and social events aimed at celebrating the school’s history and charting a course for its future development.

Activities lined up for the celebration include a reunion and get-together of old students, a thanksgiving service, commissioning of development projects, cultural and social activities, sporting events, public lectures, an awards ceremony, as well as a grand dinner and special entertainment.

The Central Planning Committee for the anniversary is chaired by Mr. Olunloyo Olabode, who is leading preparations to ensure a memorable and impactful celebration.

Other key officials involved in the planning include Mr. Azzez Oladejo, Secretary of the Central Planning Committee; Rev. Adepoju Ezekiel Babatunde, National President; and Dr. Lasisi Yusuff Bolaji, National Secretary.

The organisers have extended an open invitation to members of the public, alumni, education stakeholders and well-wishers to participate in the historic celebration.

Adekunle; Principal School 2 Senior, Mrs. H. Oluokun; Principal School 2 Junior, Mr. L. Oluwagbemi; Chairman of the 70th Founder’s Day Planning Committee, Mr. Olabode Victor Olunloyo; as well as representatives of year set coordinators, Mr. Basit Ilo and Mr. Rasaq Babatunde Lasisi.
