Rivers State Commissioner for Special Duties, Emeka Woke has resigned from Governor Fubara’s Cabinet.
NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the political crisis in Rivers State is taking a new twist as the Commissioner for Special Duties, Emeka Woke, resigned from Governor Siminalayi Fubara’s cabinet.
This came after the State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Prof. Zacchaeus Adangor, SAN, and Commissioner for Works, Dr. Dax George-Kelly also resigned from their appointments.

While Adangor served in the same capacity in the immediate past administration of Nyesom Wike, Woke was Chief of Staff under the former governor.
On assumption of office, Fubara appointed Woke as his Commissioner for Special Duties.
Woke confirmed his resignation to our correspondent on the telephone on Thursday evening.
“Yes, I have resigned as the Commissioner for Special Duties today, ” he said.
When asked if there was any reason for his resignation, he said, “When you get the soft copy of my letter of resignation, you will get the reason.”
Both Adangor and Woke are said to be strong allies of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Wike.
