1. A Coalition of Arewa Elders has warned political actors, particularly the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi to desist from ‘unguarded post election political utterances’. The elders were of the opinion that such utterances are capable of triggering a repeat of the 1966 coup that led to the killing of regional leaders.

2. The House of Representatives ad-hoc committee investigating alleged crude oil sales revenue loss has summoned the Minister of Finance, Zainab Ahmed, Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha, the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) Abubakar Malami to appear before it as part of its ongoing investigation.

3. Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State says no force on earth can stop President-elect Bola Tinubu from succeeding President Muhammadu Buhari. Speaking when Rt. Hon. Francis Nwifuru, Ebonyi governor-elect, visited him on Tuesday, Umahi said Tinubu overcame several hurdles on his path to victory.

4. The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed has said the Presidential Candidate of Labour Party, Peter Obi, has more questions to answer on the leaked audio involving him and founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo. Obi has since said the audio was fake.

5. The traditional ruler of Oghara in Kabba Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State, has been abducted. It was gathered that a female domestic worker identified as Toyin Onare was shot dead during the attack.

6. The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has asked the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal in Abuja to dismiss all the petitions challenging the declaration of Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress as the winner of the February 25 presidential election.

7. Benue State governor, Samuel Ortom has suspended the operations of livestock guards and the state para-military agency saddled with the enforcement of the state open grazing for a period of two weeks to allow all herdsmen with livestock in the state to leave.

8. The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has fixed Saturday, April 15, 2023, for the conduct of supplementary elections in Port Harcourt II and Khana/Gokana federal constituencies. The State INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner, Dr Johnson Sinikiem, disclosed this in a statement issued in Port Harcourt on Tuesday.

9. Barring a last minute change, the All Progressives Congress, APC, may zone the positions of Senate President and Deputy Senate President to the South-South and North-West geo-political zones respectively. Though the party is yet to officially announce its position on the zoning of 10th National Assembly leadership slots, multiple sources said that the South-South zone may get the Senate President position.

10. The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and the Labour Party, LP, governorship candidates have filed a petition against the All Progressive Congress, APC, and the Lagos State Governor-elect, Babajide Sanwo-Olu. The PDP candidate, Abdul-Azeez Adediran known as Jandor, and the LP candidate, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vigour, separately asked the tribunal to nullify Sanwo-Olu’s return and declare them the winner of the poll.
