INEC has declared Adeleke as the Winner of Osun Governorship Election.
NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Governor Ademola Adeleke the winner of the 2026 Osun State governorship election.

Adeleke, who contested on the platform of the Accord Party, polled 491,975 votes to defeat his closest challenger, Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress, who secured 425,731 votes.
The incumbent governor won by a margin of 66,244 votes.
African Democratic Congress candidate Najeem Salaam finished third with 16,513 votes, while the remaining political parties shared the other valid votes recorded in the election.
Adeleke won 19 of the state’s 30 local government areas, while Oyebamiji secured the highest votes in the remaining 11.
INEC declared Adeleke elected after determining that he had received the highest number of votes and met the constitutional geographical-spread requirement.
The declaration followed the collation of results from the 30 local government areas at the state collation centre in Osogbo.
Adeleke, who first became governor after winning the 2022 election on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, will now serve a second term under the Accord Party.
His victory marks the Accord Party’s first governorship election win in Osun State.
