Sanwo-Olu has redeemed his pledge and donated a brand-new Coaster Bus to Pro-Tinubu Group ahead of 2027 elections.
NewsOnline Nigeria reports that Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has fulfilled a second pledge to the Southwest Arewa Community Renewed Hope Agenda for Asiwaju 2027 (SWAC 4 ABAT AGAIN), donating a brand-new coaster bus to support the group’s political mobilisation activities ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The bus was presented to the pro-President Bola Ahmed Tinubu support group on Wednesday as part of efforts to support its advocacy for Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima and other All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates in Lagos State and across the Southwest.
The group, which is made up of members of the Arewa community in the Southwest, has been involved in promoting the Renewed Hope Agenda and mobilising support for the APC ahead of the 2027 elections.
The donation is expected to strengthen the group’s outreach and sensitisation activities across Lagos and other Southwest states.
The development follows Governor Sanwo-Olu’s recent appointment of Ibrahim Abubakar Jagaba, a leading member of the Southwest Arewa Community Renewed Hope Agenda for Asiwaju 2027, as Senior Special Assistant on Arewa Community Affairs.
The appointment was described by the group as a demonstration of the governor’s recognition of the Arewa community’s participation in Lagos politics and its contributions to the APC.
Speaking while receiving the campaign bus, the Director-General of the Southwest Arewa Community Renewed Hope Agenda for Asiwaju 2027, Alhaji Shehu Usman Sampam, described the governor’s gesture as unprecedented.
Sampam said the donation reinforced the principle of inclusive democracy, which he attributed to President Tinubu’s political philosophy.
According to him, the bus would strengthen the group’s capacity to intensify its political sensitisation and mobilisation activities among members of the Arewa community in Lagos and other parts of the Southwest.
“We are buoyed and encouraged to double our sensitisation efforts for our party, the APC. The Arewa community, not just in Lagos but across the Southwest, will continue to maximise this platform to mobilise support for Asiwaju and the APC ahead of the 2027 elections,” Sampam said.
He expressed appreciation to Governor Sanwo-Olu for fulfilling his pledge, assuring him that the group would reciprocate the gesture through increased mobilisation and support for the APC.
Sampam added that the organisation would continue engaging members of the Arewa community across the region as part of its activities ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The donation comes as political parties and support groups prepare for the next general elections, scheduled for 2027, with mobilisation efforts expected to feature prominently in political activities across the country.
