NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the presidential and vice-presidential candidates of the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC), Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso, have met with the party’s national leader, Senator Seriake Dickson, amid the leadership crisis rocking the OK Movement ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The meeting comes as concerns grow among supporters over divisions within the OK Movement, a political coalition comprising the Kwankwassiyya Movement and the Obidient Movement, which has recently been hit by factional disputes.

The leadership crisis has sparked uncertainty among members and supporters backing the Obi-Kwankwaso presidential ticket as political activities gather momentum ahead of the 2027 elections.
Confirming the meeting in a post on his official Facebook page, Senator Dickson disclosed that he hosted Obi and Kwankwaso at his Abuja residence.
According to the former Bayelsa State governor, discussions centred on the progress of the party and preparations for the upcoming electioneering campaigns.
“We discussed the positive state of affairs of our party and preparations for the forthcoming campaigns, which are expected to commence later this month,” Dickson stated.
The NDC leader also appealed to members, supporters and stakeholders of the party to put aside their differences and remain united.
“I call on all members, supporters and stakeholders of our great party to unite, remain steadfast and work together for victory for all candidates of our party,” he added.
The meeting is expected to reassure party faithful as the NDC seeks to resolve internal disagreements within the OK Movement and strengthen its campaign structure ahead of the 2027 general elections.
