NNPCL has cut petrol price again and reduced pump price to N1,210 per litre in Abuja.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has reduced the pump price of petrol for the second time within four days, offering further relief to motorists in Abuja and surrounding areas.

A check at several NNPCL filling stations in the capital showed that petrol now sells for N1,210 per litre, particularly at outlets in Airport Junction and Wuse Zone 6.

The new price represents a N50 reduction from the previous rate of N1,260 per litre.

This latest cut comes just days after the company had already reduced its pump price by N75 per litre, bringing it down from earlier levels before the fresh adjustment.

The development also follows a recent price reduction by the Dangote Refinery, which lowered its gantry price by N50 per litre to N1,125, influencing downstream pricing across the market.

With the new adjustment, petrol prices in Abuja and nearby locations now range between N1,210 and N1,305 per litre, depending on the filling station.

Industry analysts link the continuous price reductions to the sustained decline in global crude oil prices, driven by easing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.

At the global market, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude is trading at about $69 per barrel, while Brent crude stands at approximately $71 per barrel.

The repeated adjustments signal increased responsiveness in Nigeria’s downstream petroleum market as international crude prices continue to fluctuate.
