The resignations were announced on Wednesday by presidential spokesman, Bayo Onanuga, who said President Bola Tinubu has nominated replacements for both positions.

According to the statement, the president has forwarded the names of two nominees to the Senate for confirmation.

“To fill these positions, President Tinubu has written to the Senate, requesting expedited confirmation of Oritsemeyiwa Amanorisewo Eyesan as Chief Executive Officer of the NUPRC and Engineer Saidu Aliyu Mohammed as Chief Executive Officer of the NMDPRA,” Onanuga said.

He added that both nominees are seasoned professionals with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry.
