Dangote has released details alleging that NMDPRA Boss Farouk Ahmed spent $5million on Children’s Swiss Education.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that Aliko Dangote, chairman of the Dangote Group has release evidence alleging that Farouk Ahmed, Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA), spent about $5 million on the secondary education of his children in Switzerland.

Dangote made the allegation in a paid newspaper advertisement published on Tuesday, claiming that the amount was paid for the education of four of Ahmed’s children over a six-year period.

The billionaire had on Monday accused Ahmed of paying $5 million to Swiss secondary schools for his children’s education, describing the alleged expenditure as an act of “economic sabotage and corruption.”

In the advertisement, Dangote named the children as Faisal Farouk, Farouk Jr., Ashraf Farouk and Farhana Farouk. He further listed Montreux School, Aiglon College, Institut Le Rosey and La Garenne International School as the institutions they allegedly attended for six years.

Dangote also provided a breakdown of the estimated costs, including tuition, living expenses, air travel and upkeep, calculated across four children and several years of study.

According to him, the annual cost of tuition, airfare and upkeep per child was about $200,000, amounting to $800,000 per year for the four children. He added that total living expenses and air tickets per child over six years came to $1.2 million, translating to $4.8 million for all four.

Overall, Dangote estimated that the combined cost of tuition and upkeep for the children’s secondary education was approximately $5 million.

The businessman also raised questions about the children’s tertiary education expenses, claiming that tuition, upkeep, airfare and other costs averaged about $125,000 per year over a four-year period. He said this amounted to $500,000 per child, or a total of $2 million for the four children.

Singling out one of the children, Dangote alleged that Faisal Farouk completed an MBA at Harvard University in 2025, with tuition costing $150,000 and an additional $60,000 spent on upkeep, travel and other expenses, bringing the total to $210,000 for that year.

Dangote argued that Nigerians deserved transparency over the source of such funds, noting that the payments were allegedly made by a public officer at a time when many parents in Ahmed’s home state of Sokoto struggle to afford school fees as low as ₦10,000 for their children and wards.
