NewsOnline Nigeria reports that Nigerian rapper Emeka Akumefule, popularly known as Blaqbonez, has been accused of cyber harassment, blackmail, and invasion of privacy in a legal petition filed by the solicitors of a woman identified as Jane Doe.

According to a statement by Bristol & Mortglass C.S., obtained on Sunday, the woman allegedly suffered emotional distress and sustained online harassment after rejecting the artiste’s romantic advances in December 2024.

The petition claimed that Blaqbonez illegally obtained and circulated private video content belonging to the woman without her consent. Her lawyers alleged that she endured months of humiliation, intimidation, and false accusationsspread on social media.

They further disclosed that several appeals for the rapper to desist were ignored, prompting their client to seek police intervention. The petition added that the ordeal caused the woman severe emotional trauma and fear for her safety in Lagos.

The law firm maintained that Blaqbonez’s alleged actions violated multiple laws, including the Cybercrimes Act (2015), Violence Against Persons Act (2015), and Nigeria Data Protection Act (2023).

Bristol & Mortglass C.S. also revealed that another law firm, TIA Solicitors, had previously written to Blaqbonez in December 2024 and January 2025, demanding deletion of the private materials, a public apology, and ₦200 million in damages.

Despite the letters being delivered twice to his residence, the harassment reportedly persisted.
As of the time of filing this report, Blaqbonez and his management are yet to issue any response regarding the allegations.
