Impact Investors Foundation has announced Third Gender Impact Investment Summit and unveiled a roadmap for inclusive capital.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the Impact Investors Foundation (IIF), Nigeria’s foremost platform for unlocking impact capital, has announced that the third edition of its Gender Impact Investment Summit (GIIS) will take place on October 2, 2025, at the Civic Centre, Lagos.

The annual summit brings together stakeholders to address structural barriers limiting women’s access to finance while advancing gender-inclusive investment in Nigeria.

Unlike previous editions that focused on bridging financing gaps, this year’s summit is set to move from dialogue to action with the launch of a comprehensive Gender Equity and Social Inclusion (GESI) Roadmap. Themed “Investing in Equity: Advancing Gender-Led Solutions for Inclusive Development,” the event will introduce targeted strategies for inclusive capital mobilisation, marking a significant turning point for gender lens investing in the country.

Key Highlights

  • Launch of GESI Roadmap – a strategic framework aimed at dismantling systemic barriers for women, youth, and People with Disabilities (PWDs) in business.

  • Deal Rooms – both physical and virtual spaces where women-led and women-owned enterprises can connect directly with capital providers, impact investors, and fund managers.

  • Knowledge Exchange – panel discussions, fireside chats, breakout sessions, and networking opportunities with leaders in finance, business, and policy.

  • Keynote Address – Jessica Espinoza, CEO of 2X Global, the world’s leading body on gender lens investing, will headline the summit.

Speaking ahead of the event, Ms. Etemore Glover, CEO of IIF, emphasized the organisation’s shift from advocacy to impact-driven action:

“This summit is about more than just talk; it’s about action. By shifting our focus from advocacy to a powerful business strategy, we are showing that investing with a gender lens isn’t only about doing good—it’s also about delivering stronger returns.”

The GIIS will convene a diverse mix of entrepreneurs, investors, financial institutions, enterprise support organisations, policymakers, and the media, all working toward advancing inclusive and equitable development.

Ms. Glover added that through GIIS, IIF seeks to position Nigeria as a global leader in gender-inclusive investing, demonstrating how economic prosperity and social impact can go hand-in-hand.
